Mission Trip

Missions Trips

Beyond our monthly opportunities for students to serve around the Church, students have the opportunity to go on our annual YouthMissions Trip. It is important for our students to have the opportunity to put their faith into action, serving a community and creating an impact through hard work and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Throughout the year, students are provided many opportunities to join the Church in fundraising for their missions trip through fun events like bake sales, babysitting, and more!

2025 Youth Missions Trip to

ALABAMA (Middle School and High School)

June 8-13 - Total $615 per student

WHY GO ON A MISSIONS TRIP?

Missions trips are a great way for students to disconnect from the online world and be engaged in a new community. They will get to see God work directly through their service in the lives of others. Students will be stretched outside their comfort zone, deepen their relationship with God, and create friendships and memories that are unforgettable!

WHERE WILL THEY SLEEP?

Students will sleep in Bayou La Batre Community center on sleeping bags and air mattresses. Boys and girls will be separated. Doors will be locked, and students will be safe (I went on this exact missions trip in 2017 and stayed there).

WILL THERE BE OTHER CHURCHES?

Students will be partnering with 1-2 other Youth Groups from the U.S. They will be in mixed service teams with one BBCC leader and 1-2 other students from BBCC, and then that same ratio form the other churches.

WHO IS YOUTHWORKS?

Youth Works is a non-profit Christian organization that’s been around for 30 years. They organize missions trips to spread Jesus’ love to communities in need across the country.

WHAT’S INCLUDED IN THE COST?

The cost includes the van rental, 3 meals a day (besides travel meals), supplies needed for work projects, housing, and activities.

WHAT PROJECTS WILL THERE BE?

Students will participate in a few of these work projects: Serving in a retirement home, soup kitchen, community kid’s daycare, or community service projects (like painting a house).

WHAT’S THE SUPERVISION LIKE?

We will have 5 Adult leaders staying with students. YouthWorks also has multiple staff members who stay with us and supervise our students.

WHAT DOES A DAY LOOK LIKE?

Students wake up and do a personal devotional, they eat breakfast and get ready. Students do work projects until around 3 with a lunch break at their work site. Students come back to the community center for worship and a message led by YouthWorks staff. and either a night time activity (such as going to the pier) or group games.

ADDITIONAL INFO:
